We can make an SMTP server available with all of our plans at no extra charge, but we always encourage our clients to use their own ISPs SMTP server instead. This is because many ISPs block the relaying of mail to third party SMTP mail servers (as an anti-spam measure) and so you are much less likely to encounter problems using your ISPs own SMTP server.
With most ISPs you can continue to use their SMTP server and simply change your e-mail address in your e-mail program. Any e-mails will then be sent from your domain name e-mail address and the only way any recipients might be able to tell that the mail was sent through your ISPs mail server is by closely studying the e-mail header. |
