» What if I need more data transfer than my account allows?
Data transfer in excess of your account allowance is charged at 6 pounds for each additional block of 1000 MB. This charge is rarely applied as the vast majority of websites never come close to using the generous data transfer allowances included with our plans. In fact, most sites use less than 1000 MB of data transfer per month and over 90 percent of all web sites never exceed 5000 MB of data transfer per month.

You can easily monitor your approximate data transfer usage, and compare it with what your hosting plan allows, from within your Control Panel. This means that you are unlikely to be caught by surprise by any additional charges. This also gives you the opportunity to decide if you wish to pay for the extra data transfer, upgrade your plan or take action to reduce your future data transfer. For example, you can often reduce your site's data transfer considerably by reducing the resolution of any pictures displayed on your site.

If your site should grow in popularity to the extent that you expect to exceed your data transfer allowance on a regular basis, it is normally more cost effective to upgrade your account to a larger plan. This can be done at any time, seamlessly and without an upgrade charge.
